In a state known for its unmatched natural beauty, Oregon is loaded with amazing trails that you could run as you compete in the Race the USA Virtual 10K Challenge Series. A 10K run Oregon style would be unforgettable and your participation helps the Feed the Children Organization.

There are several outstanding trails in the Portland area. One of the best places for a challenging fun run Oregon is at the Wildwood Trail in Forest Park.  This trail is nearly 28 miles long; if you do the whole thing, you are a beast! The trail is challenging as it has an intense elevation gain of 3,000 feet. If you want something more mild, the Portland River Loop is a good option. It runs for 11 miles around the Willamette River along the Greenway Trail and over a pair of bridges. This run only has an elevation change of 300 feet. The most popular trail in all of Oregon is worth the drive to Silver Falls State Park near Silverton. Put on your trail running shoes and head out on the Trail of Ten Falls. There are several other trails to take in the Silver Falls State Park and at the nearby North Santiam State Recreation Area - especially the Shellburg and Stassel Falls Trail - which is 6.1 miles of idea trail-running bliss.

Salem is also home to beautiful running trails, especially at Minto-Brown Island State Park which has several different well-marked trails. Some are paved and some are not, but they are all ideal for your 5k run Oregon. Like the trails in Portland, some of them also run along the Willamette River.

Oregon’s state parks are absolute gems, but so are the National Forests. Both the Deschutes National Forest and the Winema National Forest have plenty of trails that will suit your needs for the Race the USA Virtual 10K Challenge Series Oregon. And then, there’s Crater Lake National Park, which will completely take your breath away. The most popular is the Garfield Peak Trail, which is 3.4 miles.
