Join the many that are taking part in completing virtual running events and or running challenges. It's a great way to motivate and challenge yourself. Most challenges have special instructions to complete them. Below we have outline the most common instructions for how a virtual running event works.
The first step in understanding how a virtual running event works is to choose one of our current virtual run events that fits the type of challenge you are looking for. We offer events for all fitness levels. On each event page you will find the complete details. The details will outline the distance of the event, as well as the included swag. Some events also have a charity benifactor.
Once you have chosen the event the next step is to register. You will find the registration button on the page which will take you directly to the page to register where you will choose which category level based on the swag included. Typically, there are 2 options to choose from, Standard or Premium (international versions of both). Our standard registration choice for most events incudes the official finisher's medal, tyvek race bib, and includes shipping. The Premium Participant includes everything in the Standard plus an event finisher's t-shirt. **Note make sure when registering you pay attention to the event start date. Most events have a specific time line specified. This will also dictate when your race packet will be shipped.
Completing your virtual race is the next step. Since this is a virtual event all you need to do is choose the location you prefer. Participants have the option to complete their challenge indoors on a treadmill or outside at their favorite running or walking locations. You may complete the event by running or even walking. Depending on the distance chosen you may also break that distance up into managable segments. Remember, this is your event, the goal is to complete it.
Great job you have finished your virtual run challenge! To officially earn that finisher medal you must submit your results via our Results Page. There are many ways to record your results. Apps like MapMyRun, Nike Run Club work well. Some participants will utilize their smart watches. Whichever method you choose just submit that information on our website or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We like to think The Virtual Run Challenge is more than just a website that offers virtual challenges. By joining our online Facebook Group you are joining a family who's goal is to support and motivate each other. We encourage everyone whether they have signed up for an event or just wants to be a part of something special.
Also, we love to see the photos our participants share with us on completeing their event. If you post online please tag us in your posts @virtualrunchallenge or email us at email@example.com.
